Prashanth Nagar Colony gets CCTV surveillance

Hyderabad: Noticing an offender was caught by police through CCTV footage, the residents of Prashanth Nagar in Vanasthalipuram have come forward to install 32 community CCTV cameras worth Rs. 7, 00,000. On Saturday Rachakonda Commissioner of Police, Mahesh Bhagwat inaugurated the community camera service room.

 Till July 20, 2019, 309 Community CCTV camera and 3514 Nenu Saitham Cameras are installed under the Vanasthalipuram Police Station limits. Further, the Rachakonda Commissinoerate requested to all the corporate bodies to take up the Corporate Social Responsibility for the installation of more CC cameras.

Speaking on the inauguration ceremony, CP Mahesh Bhagwat informed, “The project was completed by San Info Technology, the annual maintenance of the project is for 3 years,” adding about the CCTV cameras he said that all entries, exit and main routes of the locality including two main temples, two main parks and crime-prone area are under camera surveillance.”

Moreover, all functioning of CCTV Cameras will be monitored on a daily basis through teleconference. Therefore the Sub-Inspectors are also been instructed by the Rachakonda Commissioner to identify the area and shopping establishments and to spread awareness to install the community cameras in their surroundings.
