Pro-CAA: Police permission sought for meeting at Charminar

Hyderabad: After anti-CAA protests, Hyderabad may witness pro-CAA meeting as the Akhand Bharat Sangarsh Samithi, Bhagyanagar plans to organize program at Charminar.

According to the TOI report, the Samithi has sought police permission to hold the meeting on 2nd February at the historic place of the City. A representation was also submitted to Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Hyderabad City Police.

As per the representation, Samithi wants to organize a meeting between 4 and 9 p.m.

Citing the reason for holding the meeting, Ale Bhasker Raaj, Convener of the Samithi said that there is a need to spread awareness about the law as political parties are misinterpreting CAA.

Anti-CAA protests

It may be mentioned that after Central Govt. gave a nod to NPR, protests against CAA, NRC and NPR intensified in Hyderabad.

Massive protest meetings held at various places in the city. Thousands of protesters had participated in the meetings to raise their voice against the controversial laws.

Recently, Bhim Army Chief, Chandrasekhar Azad also came to the City to address anti-CAA meeting, however, police sent him back to Delhi.
