RTC strike claims two more lives

Hyderabad: An RTC driver by name Abdul Ghafoor (35) died at 8:30 p.m. yesterday. This incident occurred at Gol Lingal area of Nagirreddypet Mandal.

Abdul Ghafoor was working as driver attached to RTC Depot, Nizamabad. When he was watching the TV about RTC strike, he got a heart stroke. He was being shifted to hospital but he died on the way.

After getting this news, the other driver of the Depot reached Gol Lingal immediately and consoled the bereaved family members.

Mr. Sanjeev, State Secretary and Co Convener of RTC JAC expressed deep sorrow over the death of the driver and demanded the Govt. to accept the demands of RTC employees.

Meanwhile, another death occurred in Hyderabad.

Ramesh (37), resident of Yacharam Mandal of RR District was working as driver associated with Musheerabad Depot. He was perturbed with the ongoing RTC strike. He had participated in the strike also. He complained of heart ache. He was initially taken to a private hospital at Malakpet where he died yesterday. RTC strike entered 19th day. RTC workers staged dharna in front of Depot and raised slogans in support of their demands.
