Samithi wants idols processions begin for immersion on Sep 12

Hyderabad: The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi today said the main Ganesh procession of Balapur will start on September 12 at 8 am after the auction of Laddu. The Balapur Ganesh procession will pass through Shalibanda, Charminar and so on and ends at Tankbund.

A Coordination meeting will be held on September 9 under the leadership of GHMC Commissioner to review the arrangements being made. Suggestions, if any, will be taken and implemented before the immersion day. The GHMC Commissioner, Metro Water Works M.D., Police Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda and RTA officials will participate. Mohan Bagawath and Swamy Pragnananda will be chief guests at the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Immersion ceremony on that day. The RSS chief will address Ganesh devotees at Vinayak Chowk (MJ Market circle) between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm.

           

Swamy Pragnanand will be addressing the devotees at various places in Bhagayanagar starting from Shalibanda, Bhagyalaxmi Chowk at Charminar, MJ Market circle, Basheerbagh, Babub Jagjeevan Ram statue, Dr B.R. Ambedkar statue circle, Tankbund, NTR Gardens and so on. The RTA department will station at 13 places to get lorries, DCMs and tuskers for the Ganesh idol immersion for the devotees and tariff was fixed by the RTA department.

The Samithi also welcomed the decision of Ganga Aarti to be held at Tank Bund by the State government on all the 11 days of Ganesh Festival. Samithi appealed to devotees to start Ganesh idol processions in the early morning on September 12 as the ritual should be over in Anantha Chaturthi before the Pitrupaksham starts. The Samithi also paid its tribute to martyrs of Jallianwalla Bagh on its 100th year of massacre.
