Riyadh: In Saudi Arabia’s Hafr Al Baten city, seven people killed and 11 others received injuries due to hailstones.
According to the report published in Khaleej Times, the concerned authorities received 1176 calls and reports in two days.
On social media, many people shared the pictures and videos of hailstones which is of the size of a hand.
Spokesman of the Directorate of Civil Defense in the Eastern region, Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Hadi bin Ali Al-Shahrani said that all reports came after the General Authority of Meteorology and Environment Protection issued a warning.
He also asked the public to get the correct information from official media sources.
