SRK lands in controversy for appearing in advertisement for IIPM

Kolkata: Calcutta High Court asked Bollywood actor, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan to explain his association with Delhi-based educational institute Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM).

According to the report published in India Today, the owner of the institution and institution itself is facing various charges including corruption.

The actor had appeared in advertisement for IIPM

The actor who had appeared in an advertisement for the institution has been asked to file reply. The court issued the direction while hearing the petition filed by two students of IIPM.

It is reported that Justice Debangshu Basak directed the actor to file affidavit.

CBI probe demanded

The students claimed that they had taken admission into the institution as the actor was promoting the institution. The lawyer, Dipanjan Datta demanded CBI probe.

Meanwhile, the actor’s lawyer said that SRK had just appeared in the advertisement for the institution.

It may be noted that in 2018, students had filed criminal case against the institution after UGC declared that the institution is not affiliated to it.
