Hyderabad: IAS officer Swetha Mohanty has been appointed as the new Hyderabad Collector. She took charge of her post here on Monday.
Earlier Mohanty worked as Wanaparthy Collector. The 2011 batch officer replaced Collector Manikaraj Kannan who was transferred and posted as Industries Commissioner.
After assuming her charge, Mohanty had a meeting with District Revenue Officer Madhusudhan Rao, Revenue Divisional Officers (RDOs) Srinu and Vasantha Kumari, and other officials.
Another IAS officer Vasam Venkateshwarlu took charge as Collector of Medchal–Malkajgiri district on Monday.
