Theft incidents after second show, thief held

Hyderabad: Rachakonda police arrested an thief who was involved in 33 theft cases in various houses. Police also seized articles worth Rs. 13.30 lakh from his possession.

Commissioner of Rachakonda police, Mr. Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagawat informed that Satyanarayana (50) resident of East Godavari used to see 2nd show during night so that the residents of the houses fall asleep.

It is reported that during one year, Satyanarayana committed 33 thefts. Earlier, he was convicted in A.P. in a criminal case and was imprisoned.

After getting release from prison, he came to Hyderabad and started stealing.

According to the report of the police, Satyanarayana shifted to Hyderabad in February 2019. He started working as a mason and later joined a private company.  He used to go round on a motor cycle to see the houses. When patrolling police intercepted him on many occasions, he showed the cinema ticket of 2nd show.

He used to commit thefts in areas which are not covered under CCTV cameras.

He conducted thefts in Green Hills colony, Kothapet, Krishna Nagar, Hanuman Nagar Saroor Nagar, Chandrapuri colony LB Nagar etc.
