Hyderabad: GHMC has planned to construct 47 new Theme Parks in Hyderabad as part of “Swach Hyderabad” programme. For this purpose, it will spend Rs 120 crore. An area of one acre has already been earmarked for this purpose.
Swach Theme Park:
There is a proposal to establish 12 Swach Theme Parks. There will be two zones to be identified from among 12 zones for this purpose.
Activities:
In these parks, garbage will be separated into dry and wet categories. Composite plant, water harvesting, upkeep of Kaleshwaram project transfer station, recycling of plastic material etc. form parts of its activities.
There is no special park for children in the city. The establishment of Theme Parks has been given priority.
It may be mentioned that recently, Govt. setup urban Forest Parks and Theme Parks in the city.
Jubilee Hills:
In Jubilee Hills, Rainwater Harvesting Theme Park, Dog Park in Gachibowli and also Panchantantra Parks have been started.
Works for Parks:
Mir Alam Tank will also have a park. Oxygen Park in Kondlakoya area, Sanjeeviah Park, Nandavanam Park in Narapally, Cycling Park in Kondapur, Shantivanam Park in Medipally, Panchvati Park in Shamsabad and Shantivanam Park in Dholapalli have already been started in the city.
