Tribal students clinch international medals in Karate
British Deputy High commissioner Andrew Fleming visited the TMREIS School at Musheerabad where young students demonstrated their Karate skills. Instructor and International Karate champion Syeda Falak, TMREIS secretary B.Shafiullah, Telangana government secretary Venu Gopal was also present. The British Dy. Commissioner appreciated the students and lauded India's progress and achievements in sports. He said India progress is education and sports on the global level is laudable.

Hyderabad: The students of Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions in the State outclassed participants from six countries and clinched international medals in Karate.

Jatoth Nehasri secured Kumite gold medal in under-14 category and Sanapa. Vidya secured Kumite bronze medal in under-16 category at the 6th Legend International Karate Championship 2019, which was held from June 30 to July 1 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

TWREI Secretary Dr RS Praveen Kumar congratulated the girls for their outstanding performance and said, “It is a matter of pride that our girls have been showing extra-ordinary talent in martial arts. It is imperative to equip girls with basic self-defence techniques, because self-defence is utmost important for girls in the kind of world we live in today”.
