New Delhi: The Ruling central government proposed to initiate a program for unemployed engineers where the individuals are provided with a one-year internship in urban or local bodies in the state said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The news was made during the Union Budget 2020 today where the Minister said science and technology students shall be given the opportunity to improve their employment opportunities.
While the Local bodies across the country will be providing internship to the fresh engineers.
“Local bodies that carry out various developmental works always lack manpower. Due to the new initiative, the engineers can learn a lot as well as help out at the local bodies,” Sitharaman said adding that the internship program will help the students to get better opportunities later.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget today at 11 am.
