Jangaon: An upset mother and a second housewife of a farmer stabbed her two children to death and later attempted suicide in Jangaon Districts Shivabhukya Thanda of Narmetta Mandal.
According to reports, the accused Banothu Rama Devi committed the crime when her husband was away from the house for work.
The incident came to light when the woman’s father visited the house around 5pm.
B Srinivas Reddy, the accused, Banothu Rama Devi, is the second wife of Banothu Gopal, a farmer.
Warangal DCP B Srinivas Reddy said: “Rama Devi lost a lot of blood. We have shifted her to MGM Hospital in Warangal.”
The police said the woman had not been keeping well since she underwent hysterectomy few years ago.
“She was suffering from kidney ailments and her husband insisted that the cost of the medical treatment should be borne by her parents. So, she was upset,” the DCP said.
“We have shifted the kids’ bodies to Jangaon area hospital for post-mortem and registered a case,” Narmetta Circle inspector Gopal said.
