Wasim Rizvi’s bail plea rejected

Lucknow: There seems to be no end to the problems of Chairman UP Central Shia Waqf Board Wasim Rizvi. Rampur district court in an important case refused to grant interim bail to Rizvi. Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, his wife and son and Sunni Central Waqf Board Chairman Zafar Farooqui are also accused in the case.

Hearing the case, the district judge on Wednesday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Wasim Rizvi. The honourable judge clearly told that there is no basis for accepting the bail plea while there are a number of reasons for not accepting it. An Urdu newspaper reported.

The honorable judge said it is wrong to say that Rizvi is innocent and there is no case against it. He said the allegations made against him are basically correct hence there is no question of granting anticipatory bail to him.
