WCH Humanitarian Summit: Ex-MP Udit Raj to speak on dalit issues

New Delhi: Dr. Udit Raj, former Member of Parliament representing North West Delhi and National Chairman of All India Confederation of SC/ST will deliver speech at 8th WCH Humanitarian Summit on 20th September 2019.

As per the official website, he will speak on “The future of the Dalits and the cast system in India”.

The theme of the inaugural session is “Sustainable Humanitarianism Towards ​the United Nation’s 2030 Agenda”.

The summit is going to be held at Anaheim Convention Center, California.

It may be mentioned that WCH initiatives are focusing on 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

The panel session will focus on SDGs 1, 3, 4, 10, 16 and 17. The speaker are various countries including the USA, India, Egypt, Cambodia.

Dr. Raj and other speakers will talk on the topic “Discrimination of the Untouchables in India”.

Who is Udit Raj?

Dr. Udit Raj is the member of Indian National Congress and former Lok Sabha MP. Earlier, he was the BJP member.

Currently, he is the National Chairman of the All India Confederation of SC/ST Organizations.

He quit the BJP after the saffron party denied ticket to him in 2019 General Election. Later, he joined Indian National Congress.
