Youth chews off, ‘swallows’ man’s finger on road, booked

Bhopal: In a peculiar yet bizarre incident reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur district, a furious youth chewed and swallowed a man’s finger.

Following road rage, the youth suspect identified as Asgar Khan(24) who works as a mechanic chewed, swallowed finger of 45-year-old Shyam Mahor, a daily wage worker, the incident occurred in tribal-dominated remote area, Chambal division around 11:30 pm on September 30, TN reports.

The victim rushed to the local police and stated his ordeal. In his complaint, the victim said his finger could have been fixed but the accused not only chewed his finger but he also swallowed the severed piece of the finger.

According to police reports, the incident happened when the victim and his son travelling on a two-wheeler, allegedly hit the scooter of accused which led to heated argument between the two. 

The victim further stated that when Khan was abusing his son, the victim warned him using foul language followed by furious khan chewing off his index finger on the left hand. 

Investigation officer Reena Rajawat if Anusuchit Jati Kalyan police station stated the Police have registered the case against Khan under sections 323, 294 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The accused was also booked under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act since the victim belongs to the scheduled caste category.
