Hyderabad: After multiple reports on social media users posting vulgar comments about the Hyderabad rape and murder victim on Facebook, the Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS) of Hyderabad City Police have started arresting such offenders.
Cyberabad police on Tuesday apprehended a 22-year-old boy identified as Chavan Sriram resident of Nizamabad who have made an indecent comments over Facebook about a recent rape victim Disha who have been allegedly raped and murdered in Hyderabad.
According to police, there are number of unknown people posted objectionable pictures of the rape victim and even made vulgar comments about her used their Facebook profiles.
On 30th November police have registered a case at cybercrime police station (CCPS) after taking suo-moto cognizance of the matter.
On FB some unknown persons uploaded photos of the recent victim of violence and murder “Disha” and also made offensive and objectionable messages about her with Facebook profiles by “Stalin Sriram” and others. These posts which are being circulated, are very derogatory, obscene and punishable if it is against women.
Basing on the report a case was registered in in Cyber Crime Police Station, Hyderabad and investigation has been taken up by the police personnel.
