11-year-old dies of electrocution during temple event in Jagtial

She unfortunately came into contact with decorative lights, which were not properly insulated and died of electrocution.

Hyderabad: Tragedy struck at the Venkateswara Swamy temple in Jagtial’s Kodimial mandal when an 11-year-old girl was electrocuted during the Brahmotsavam celebrations on Tuesday, November 25.

The girl, identified as Madhusree, had come to the temple to play dandiya, police said. She unfortunately came into contact with decorative lights, which were not properly insulated and died of electrocution.

She was rushed to the hospital, but was declared dead.
