ACB raids multiple properties linked to excise officer
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday, June 23, carried out searches at multiple locations linked to Excise Superintendent Malla Reddy after registering a case of alleged disproportionate assets against him.
According to sources, ACB teams simultaneously raided the official’s residence at Alwal in Hyderabad and several other properties reportedly belonging to his relatives, friends and suspected benamis. Searches were also conducted at his office in Nizamabad as part of the investigation.
The searches were initiated following allegations that the official possessed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Officials are scrutinising documents, financial records, property papers, bank transactions and other materials to ascertain whether the assets held by the officer are disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The searches were continuing at the time of filing this report, and details regarding the value of the assets unearthed during the raids were yet to be officially disclosed.
Further investigation is underway.
