Case registered against Attapur sweet shop for selling expired sweets

Videos have surfaced on the internet showing boxes of sweets infested with mold and people alleging that the boxes lack proper manufacturing and expiry date labels.

Hyderabad: A case was registered against Haldiram’s Attapur outlet on Monday, February 16, for allegedly selling expired/fungus-infected sweets, police said.

Videos have surfaced on the internet showing boxes of sweets infested with mold and allegedly lacking proper manufacturing and expiry date labels.

Samples from the shop have been sent for testing to the food safety lab.
