Chaos at Toxic movie pre-release event in Hyderabad

PetBasheerabad police said, "The incident occurred at 9:30 PM, and Bhanu Prakash, a student, suffered a fractured leg while four others sustained minor injuries."

Hyderabad: A pre-release event of Kannada star Yash’s movie, Toxic, at Mallareddy University in Hyderabad on Saturday, August 22, turned chaotic after a sound box fell on two students, with one of them reportedly falling unconscious.

Yash was on stage at the time of the mishap. The actor paused his speech to check on the students and asked the organisers about their condition.

After being informed that there was no major issue, he continued his speech. The accident caused concern, particularly as students were standing close to the stage and climbed onto structures that held speakers and other equipment.

A video shared on social media shows four people atop the steel structure which collapsed. Speaking to Siasat.com, PetBasheerabad police said, “The incident occurred at 9:30 pm, and Bhanu Prakash, a student, suffered a fractured leg while four others sustained minor injuries.” A case has yet to be registered.

The police denied reports of a student falling unconscious at the event.
