Delhi fire destroys 30 Takia Kale Khan huts; no injuries

The DFS received a call about the blaze at 11.22 pm on Monday, and rushed firefighting apparatus to the spot.

New Delhi: At least 30 huts were gutted after a fire broke out in the Takia Kale Khan area of central Delhi, a Delhi Fire Service official said on Tuesday, June 23.

The DFS received a call about the blaze at 11.22 pm on Monday, June 22 and rushed firefighting apparatus to the spot.

“As the fire spread, 24 fire units were pressed into service, which doused the blaze by 12.55 am (on Tuesday). A cooling operation is underway,” the official said.

No injury or casualty was reported in the incident.
