Earthquake of 3.5 magnitude hits Kashmir

They said the epicentre of the quake was in Kupwara district in north Kashmir.

Srinagar: An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale hit Kashmir on Thursday, but there was no damage, officials said.

of the quake was in Kupwara district in north Kashmir.

The quake occurred at 1.41 pm at a latitude of 34.68 degrees north and a longitude of 74.39 degrees east at a depth of five km, the officials said.

However, there were no reports of any injury or damage to property so far, they added.
