US authorities release suspects in telugu-origin trafficking case, no charges filed

Collin County, Texas: Four individuals of Telugu origin were arrested in the United States in connection with an alleged human trafficking case. However, recent updates indicate that one of the arrested individuals, Santhosh Katkoori, has been released without charges.

Update

Records obtained by WFAA reveal that Katkoori was released from jail on October 25 after the Collin County District Attorney’s Office received a letter of non-prosecution. The office has confirmed that no charges have been filed against any of the four individuals arrested by the Princeton Police Department in connection with this investigation.

The Princeton Police Department stated that their investigation is ongoing but declined to provide further comments. Katkoori and his attorney, Jeremy Rosenthal, also refrained from making any statements regarding the case.

Background

The initial arrests were made by Princeton Police following an alleged human trafficking operation involving the four individuals. At the time of the arrests, authorities had suggested that the suspects were part of a broader trafficking network. However, the recent developments cast doubt on the progress and evidence in the case.

No further details about the nature of the ongoing investigation or the role of the arrested individuals have been disclosed by the authorities.

Editorial note

This article has been updated to include new information regarding the release of one of the individuals and the lack of charges filed to date.
