The Gaza Government Media Office said on Monday, August 24, that it had documented 4,379 Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement over 315 days, leaving 1,286 Palestinians dead and 4,257 injured.
It said 180 Palestinians had also been arrested during the period. The bodies of 813 people were recovered from beneath the rubble, while more than 8,000 others were still believed to be buried under the debris.
The office called on ceasefire mediators and international actors to press for full implementation of the agreement and ensure adequate humanitarian assistance reaches Gaza.
Medical sources said the cumulative Palestinian death toll since October 7, 2023, had reached 73,420, with 174,369 people wounded.
The figures include those killed and injured since the ceasefire began on October 11, 2025, with 1,286 deaths and 4,257 injuries reported during that period.
The media office said 66,607 aid trucks had entered Gaza since the truce began, against a target of 189,000 by Monday. It estimated that only 35 per cent of the agreed deliveries had been met.
It accused Israel of restricting supplies of food, medicine, medical equipment, shelter materials and prefabricated housing needed by Palestinians facing severe humanitarian conditions.
The office also said 11,759 Palestinians had been permitted to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing, compared with 29,800 who were expected to be allowed to travel under the ceasefire arrangements. It put compliance with the movement provision at 39 per cent.
The Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing was reopened on February 2 under strict restrictions. Palestinians returning to Gaza have reported prolonged questioning and detention before being permitted to continue their journeys.
UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories Francesca Albanese called for the urgent deployment of an international protection force in Gaza and the West Bank.
Albanese said violations against Palestinians were continuing despite the ceasefire. She also said other states had a responsibility to help end Israel’s occupation, citing the International Court of Justice’s advisory opinion.
US President Donald Trump has called for an end to Israeli strikes in Gaza.
In a Fox News interview on August 17, Trump said Israel should not carry out attacks in the enclave and said Hamas had agreed to surrender its weapons under his plan to end the war.
