Hyderabad: Caretaker blinds 73-year-old employer before theft

Hyderabad: The Nacharam police on Wednesday arrested a woman for allegedly blinding her elderly employer before committing theft at the house.

The police said that the accused was identified as 32-year-old P Bhargavi, a resident of Mancherial. The accused was employed by an elderly woman as a care taker at  Snehapuri Colony in Nacharam. The victim was identified as 73 year old P Hemavathi.

The police further said Bhargavi tampered with Hemavati ‘s eye drops and mixed a toilet cleaner in them.

The accused regularly administered the same to the victim, which turned Hemavati blind. The accused then swindled cash worth Rs 40,000 along with gold jewellery, concealing it in her clothes.
