Hyderabad: KCR invited for inaugural function of Chess Olympiad in Chennai 

Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been invited by his Tamil Nadu counterpart M K Stalin to attend the inaugural function of the 44th FIDE International Chess Olympiad organised by the Tamil Nadu State government in Chennai from July 28 to August 10.

The inaugural function will be held on August 28.

The invitation was sent on Friday by the Tamil Nadu CM through R Girirajana a DMK Rajya Sabha member.

KCR was felicitated by Girirajana with a shawl and handed over the invitation card to the former.

Tamil Nadu will be hosting the Chess Olympiad where players from 188 countries would be participating. This is the first time India will be hosting it.
