Hyderabad woman allegedly kills husband, stages suicide

Postmortem conducted at Osmania General Hospital confirmed that the death was caused by strangulation.

Hyderabad: A woman was arrested for allegedly strangling her husband to death and trying to pass off the incident as a suicide at their residence in LB Nagar, Hyderabad.

According to police, the victim, identified as 36-year-old Boda Narsing, worked as a vegetable vendor and lived with his wife Swarupa and their two daughters in NTR Nagar, LB Nagar. The family belongs to Tattupalli village in Koravi mandal of Mahabubabad district.

The victim had recently come to know about his wife’s alleged relationship with Mohan, a man from their native village. Following this, the couple reportedly used to argue.

It is suspected that Swarupa viewed her husband as a hurdle to the relationship and planned to kill him.

Police said that on June 20, after sending her younger daughter to a nearby shop, Swarupa allegedly strangled her husband with a dupatta. After his death, she reportedly tried to create the impression that he had taken his own life.

However, LB Nagar police, after receiving information from local residents, reached the house and began an investigation.

The postmortem conducted at Osmania General Hospital confirmed that the death was caused by strangulation.

During questioning, she allegedly admitted to committing the crime.

Further investigation is underway.
