Telangana: TRSCL official caught red-handed accepting bribe

The accused was found demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 13,000 from a civil contractor named Babu Ra

Hyderabad: Officials from the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) apprehended an assistant general manager employed at the chief engineer’s office of the Telangana Rajiv Swagruha Corporation Limited in Himayathnagar.

The arrest came after the official, identified as Mohammed Masood Ali, was found demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 13,000 from a civil contractor named Babu Rao in exchange for expediting official procedures.

According to reports, Masood allegedly demanded the bribe to facilitate the processing of bills related to work carried out by Babu Rao. Upon investigation, both hands of the accused officer tested positive in a chemical examination conducted by authorities.

Following his arrest, Masood Ali was presented before the principal special judge for Special Enforcement (SPE) and ACB cases at Nampally.
