A Ganesha idol stuck under the Punjagutta Flyover, causing massive traffic
Hyderabad: Traffic came to a halt at Punjagutta on Saturday, August 24, after a truck carrying a Ganesh idol got stuck under the flyover.
The vehicle was headed from Khairatabad to Ameerpet. Videos show the idol’s crown stuck at the flyover. Acting quickly, Hyderabad traffic police diverted the truck towards Banjara Hills, thus easing the congestion.
The incident comes as Hyderabad readies to welcome Lord Ganesh on August 27, with streets lined with colourful idols of the deity.
