Two security personnel killed in terrorist attack in Pakistan

Additional police contingents have been deployed to the area, while a search operation is underway under the supervision of Khyber District Police Officer Waqar Ahmed , Police said.

Peshawar: At least two security personnel were killed during a terrorist attack on the joint checkpoint of the police and Frontier Corps in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa late Sunday, August 23, police said.

According to the police, terrorists attacked the Zarmat Khan Shaheed joint checkpoint at Takhta Baig in Khyber district from multiple directions.

During the exchange of fire, police constable Shumal Shalmani and FC official Nazir were killed.

Additional police contingents have been deployed to the area, while a search operation is underway under the supervision of Khyber District Police Officer Waqar Ahmed, they said.
