Dubai Police are known for their exceptional investigation skills which ensure a lower rate of crime.

Dubai: The excellence of investigation on the part of the Dubai police and heavy surveillance in UAE, is a combination that ensures a lower rate of crime across the Emirates.

In one of its more recent feats, the Dubai police cracked a one million dirham heist with the help of a shoeprint!

Four employees of a company were held hostage by a gang who entered the office premises. Three of the employees were handcuffed with plastic cuffs while the fourth was asked to empty the company’s safe into their bags.

After the gang left the premises, the fourth employee freed his colleagues and dialled the Dubai police.

The police reported missing the sharp tool used to free the colleagues from the handcuffs and a shoeprint on the entrance door of the premises.

The police matched the shoeprint on the door with that of the fourth colleague and found the missing tool hidden away in a drawer following which the man confessed to the crime.
