A man drags the victim out of the eatery in LB Nagar for refusing water
Hyderabad: An employee at an eatery in Hyderabad’s LB Nagar was allegedly beaten by customers as he failed to provide a bottle of cold water to them on Thursday, April 2.
The incident occurred at the Bats and Bites drive-in where the accused arrived inebriated. During the assault, the attackers broke the victim’s phone and abused him when he said that only normal water was available. The accused cited a local Congress leader’s support and threatened to shut down the drive-in.
The victim, Prabhas, was seriously injured in the attack and filed a complaint with the LB Nagar Police. The incident was caught on CCTV, which shows the accused grabbing Prabhas by the collar and dragging him out before beating him up.
Speaking to Siasat.com, LB Nagar Station House Officer Vinod Kumar said, ” This was a small incident; it occurred early on Thursday. The accused were drunk and assaulted Prabhas for denying a bottle of cold water.”
A case of voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means was registered under section 118 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the investigation is underway.
