Hyderabad: The Prohibition and Excise Department officials on Tuesday, October 7, seized 44 bottles of illegal liquor during a check on the Telangana Express at Secunderabad railway station.

Officials suspect the liquor was smuggled to be sold to local customers at a premium price in Hyderabad. The accused person escaped.

The carriers of liquor bottles often leave the consignment in trains and public transport buses and escape when they notice the law enforcement officials.
