Delhi teen stabs man to death, boasts on Instagram about going to jail

The accused said, "Your brother has committed a murder, and he is going away for a few days, okay?"

The incident came to light after the Police Control Room received a call about a stabbing in the Shalimar Bagh area.

“The injured was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” a police officer said.

The victim’s family demanded justice for their son, with the strictest punishment for those responsible for his death. “The accused called him out of the house and took him behind it, where they stabbed him to death. He was stabbed nearly 10 times,” the victim’s mother said.

She added that the accused even recorded a video of her son being killed.

Dekho bhai, raat ke baj rahe hai 11.22 pm. Tumhare bhai ne ek murder maar diya hai. Tumhara bhai kuch din ke liye andar ja raha hai. To saare bhai pyaar dena, hain? (It’s 11:22 pm. Your brother has committed a murder, and he is going away for a few days, okay? So, show your brother some love),” Karan said in the purported video.

The victim’s family suspected that there may have been prior personal enmity between the accused and their son, which could have led to the killing.

“Around 9:30 pm, when I went to rescue my son, he told me to go back home. Later, I was informed that he had been killed. I believe there must have been some enmity between them that led to this,” his father said.

He added that his son had multiple stab wounds. He said that he works as a construction labourer and his son was also employed in the same line of work.

According to the police, an altercation between Nitesh and Karan escalated into a violent assault, during which one of the accused repeatedly stabbed the victim. Further investigation is underway.
