Hyderabad areas to face 36-hour drinking water supply disruption

Normal drinking water supply is expected to resume by Sunday.

Hyderabad: Residents in several parts of Hyderabad are set to experience a 36-hour disruption in the drinking water supply.

The disruption is due to major repair and maintenance works being undertaken on the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Project (Phase I).

Affected areas

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has identified several areas that will be impacted by the interruption from 6 am on Saturday, December 27. These include:

Meeralam, Kishanbagh, Balshetty Katta, Moghalpura, Falaknuma, Bahadurpura, Jahanuma, Mahabub Mansion, Santosh Nagar, Vinay Nagar, Saidabad, Chanchalguda, Asmangadh, Yakutpura, Bogulakunta, Narayanguda, Adikmet Reservoir, Shivam Reservoir, Chilkalguda Reservoir, Aliabad Reservoir, Riyasat Nagar Reservoir, parts of Dilsukhnagar, Hardware Park, Jalpally, Tukkuguda, FAB City, and Manneguda

Restoration of normal drinking water supply in Hyderabad

Normal drinking water supply is expected to resume at 6 pm on Sunday, December 28.

To minimize inconvenience, residents in these areas are advised to use water judiciously.
