Mumbai: Karan Johar may have found the perfect star to serve the first cup of Koffee With Karan Season 9. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly set to open the new season and take over the famous couch all by himself.
According to reports, Salman has confirmed his presence to Karan for the premiere episode. While the remaining details are still being worked out, the two have reportedly agreed that the actor should appear solo this time.
However, neither Karan Johar nor JioHotstar has officially confirmed Salman’s appearance yet.
If the plan materialises, this will mark Salman’s first fully solo episode on the celebrity chat show. The actor made his Koffee With Karan debut in the opening episode of Season 4 in 2013. While Salman led the episode, his father and veteran screenwriter Salim Khan joined the conversation later.
He returned to the couch during Season 5 for the show’s landmark 100th episode. This time, his brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan accompanied him, turning the episode into a candid Khan family reunion.
Salman’s previous appearances remain among the most memorable episodes of the show. From addressing questions about his relationships and personal life to participating in Karan’s rapid-fire round, the actor brought his trademark humour and unfiltered answers to the couch.
Reports suggest that Koffee With Karan Season 9 could begin streaming on JioHotstar around October or November 2026, close to the Diwali season. Several celebrity names have already surfaced online as part of an alleged guest list :
With Salman reportedly opening the season alone, viewers can expect Karan to revisit some of the superstar’s most talked-about statements while also attempting to draw out a few fresh revelations.
