Telangana ACB apprehend two govt officers for demanding Rs 30k bribe

They demanded the bribe in exchange for not submitting an adverse report.

Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested two government officers demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 through a ration shop dealer in Yellandu of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

According to the complainant, Mohammed Yakoob Pasha, a deputy tahsildar, an EPASS technical assistant at Girijana Co-Operative Corporation, demanded the money in exchange for not submitting an adverse report.

They demanded the bribe money through the ration shop dealer, named Pothu Shabareesh.
