Telangana: Pandal collapses at temple in Jagtial, 15 injured

Hyderabad: At least 15 devotees were injured after a pandal collapsed at the Konda Gattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Jagtial district on Wednesday, April 1.

The incident occurred when the devotees gathered at the temple ahead of Hanuman Jayanti, which will be celebrated on April 2. Videos shared on social media showed devotees trapped under the collapsed pandal.

Speaking to Siasat.com Malyala Circle Inspector N Ravi said, “The pandal collapsed at 4:00 AM due to rain and strong winds. The injured were given first aid and sent to their native places.”

He said that no action was taken against the temple authorities since the pandal was damaged due to natural causes.
