22-year-old Hyderabad woman files complaint over false marriage claims

She further alleged that he damaged her image by introducing her to family members and friends as his wife.

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old Hyderabad woman has approached the police station and alleged that a man is harassing her and spreading false information that she is his wife, even though no marriage has taken place.

The woman, who is a resident of Ramanthapur, said in her complaint that her relative, Sai Charan, had been asking her to marry him for the past one year. She said that after she refused, he began harassing her.

She further alleged that he damaged her image by introducing her to family members and friends as his wife.

On March 28, the accused allegedly made repeated late-night calls and issued threats, and she decided to approach the police.

After registering a case based on her complaint, Uppal police have started an investigation.
