Decomposed body of woman found inside sump in Hyderabad

Post-mortem has been performed on the body, which was sent to the forensic lab for further analysis.

Hyderabad: A fully decomposed body of an unidentified woman aged between 25 and 30 years and suspected to have been murdered was found dumped inside a sump located on the third floor of DBR Mills at Lower Tank Bund under the limits of Domalguda police station on Monday, April 21.

The police, after receiving information about the decomposed body by locals, reached the spot and have been trying to gather clues.

The post-mortem of the body has been performed, and the remains have been sent to the forensic lab for further analysis.

Domalguda CI told Siasat.com that the case was being investigated, and there has been no further headway in the case. Due to being left inside the sump possibly for months, the body of the victim decomposed into a skeletal form.

The police have registered a case of suspicious death and investigation was on.

The police have appealed to the people to come forward with any information they may have on the body to determine the cause of her death.
