Driver of Minister Konda Surekha’s former OSD Sumanth arrested

The driver was taken into custody in Tellapur.

Hyderabad: Police, on Sunday, August 23, arrested the driver of Sumanth, the former OSD (On Special Duty) officer to Endowment Minister Konda Surekha.

The driver was taken into custody near Sumanth’s residence in Tellapur.

Konda Surekha’s OSD and four others – Prashanth, Ramu, Karthik Arun Kumar Reddy and Mahender Reddy – were booked for assault and intimidation of a 36-year-old Gongidi Harikrishna, a businessman from Boduppal.

Harikrishna alleged that the accused demanded Rs 10 crore from him and attacked him when he refused, leaving him with a fractured left hand and other injuries.

Further investigations are underway.
