Fire breaks out at liquor shop in Hyderabad’s Somajiguda

The DFO said the wine shop suffered a loss of Rs 50,000.

Hyderabad: A fire broke out at a liquor shop on Raj Bhavan Road in Hyderabad’s Somajiguda early on Saturday, March 7, due to a suspected short circuit, officials said.

The incident occurred at around 7 am in the morning at SS Wines. Speaking to Siasat.com, Hyderabad District Fire Officer Sridas said, “The fire is likely to have occurred due to a short-circuit. The wine shop owner and employees were present at the shop at the time of the incident. There are no casualties or injuries.”

He said that the wine shop suffered a loss of Rs 50,000.

This is the latest fire accident in Hyderabad. On March 5, a plywood warehouse in Rajendranagar was gutted due to a fire.
