Amidst the war between Israel and Hamas, the secretary-general of Lebanese group Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah on Wednesday, October 25, met with deputy leader of Hamas, Saleh Al-Arouri and leader of the Islamic Jihad movement, Ziad Al-Nakhalah in Beirut.
According to Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV, Nasrallah evaluated with Al-Nakhalah and Al-Arouri “the positions taken internationally and regionally and what the parties of the resistance axis must do at this sensitive stage to achieve a real victory for the resistance in Gaza and Palestine.”
They also discussed “what must be done in order to stop the Israel’s treacherous and brutal aggression against the oppressed and steadfast people in Gaza and the West Bank.”
The leaders agreed to “continue coordination and constant follow-up of developments on a daily and permanent basis.”
Tensions are increasing along the Lebanon-Israel border, with Hezbollah members engaging in fire with Israeli troops since Hamas’ rampage into Israel on Saturday, October 9.
For the 19th day, the Israeli forces continues to launch intense raids that destroyed entire neighborhoods in Gaza, killing 5,791 Palestinians, including 2,360 children, 1,292 women, and 295 elderly people, and wounding 16,297 people.
While the Hamas group killed more than 1,400 Israelis and wounded 5,132, and it also captured more than 200 Israelis, including high-ranking military personnel.
