ACB raids SRO office in Telangana over irregularities, unaccounted cash

The ACB found cash worth Rs 24 .61 lakh, 819 gram gold and 2.6 kg silver during raids on houses of the officials.

Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided a sub registrar office in Warangal on Thursday, April 2, and found unauthorised people working on the premises along with unaccounted cash worth Rs 47,450.

The ACB team found 20 unauthorised personnel on the premises working as document writers. Investigation also revealed that Rs 42 lakh was transferred between officials and document writers over one year via the Phone Pe app.

70 unregistered documents seized

At least 70 unregistered documents were seized, and 204 registered documents were not delivered to the concerned people.
