127 non-duty liquor bottles seized at Pahadishareef, two arrested

The worth of the liquor is about Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Hyderabad: The State Task Force of the Prohibition and Excise Department sleuths on Thursday, during a special drive, seized 127 non-duty liquor bottles at Pahadishareef.

The liquor bottles were being smuggled into the State from Goa by flights and, after being brought out of the RGI Airport, the smugglers were bringing them into the city and selling to local customers at a price cheaper than the market price.

Two persons were arrested by the STF. The worth of the liquor is about Rs. 2.5 lakh.
