Mumbai: Troubles are brewing in the marital bliss of actress Dalljiet Kaur and her second husband, UK-based businessman Nikhil Patel. The couple, who tied the knot in March 2023, is under scrutiny as speculations are rife about their separation.
It all started after Dalljiet removed pictures featuring Nikhil and their family from her Instagram account and even dropped the ‘Patel’ surname from her bio, triggering rumours of a possible separation.
Adding fuel to the speculations, Nikhil also deleted all wedding photos from his social media. The situation escalated when Dalljiet’s spokesperson issued a statement on her behalf, requesting privacy during a challenging time. The actress and her son Jaydon are currently in India for Dalljiet’s father’s surgery followed by her mother’s medical procedure.
The statement read, “I hereby state that Dalljiet and Jaydon (her son) are in India currently for Dalljiet’s dad’s surgery followed by her Maa’s surgery as well, which required them to be beside him. “In addition to this, I would only like to say that Dalljiet, at the moment, would not like to make any comments on anything because the kids are in the picture. Please respect her kids’ privacy and please consider this as the only statement she would like to give out.”
Dalljiet Kaur, who was previously married to actor Shalin Bhanot, shares a son named Jaydon with him. Nikhil Patel, her current husband, has two daughters from his previous marriage who reside with him.
Dalljiet and Shalin got married in 2009 after dating for a few years. However, they parted ways in 2015 after the actress accused her husband of domestic violence. They are currently co-parenting their son.
