Hyderabad: 2 held for selling MDMA worth Rs 3 lakh in Nagole X Road

MDMA was found packed in polythene covers inside a black bag.

Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team (SOT) and local police arrested two individuals on Wednesday, April 1, at Nagole X Road, Hyderabad, for alleged drug peddling. Officials seized 25.65 gram of MDMA worth Rs 3.61 lakh.

Junaid Raza Siddiqui, 36, from Mehdipatnam and Sunil Subba, 29, from Bandlaguda, ran a restaurant at Sun City in Kali Mandir.

According to police, the accused persons sold drugs with the help of suppliers Mohammed Ansari and Raju.

Ansari procured MDMA from Himachal Pradesh and sold it to customers in the city. Siddiqui and Subba came in contact with him as all three lived in the same locality.

During the raid, the team found the contraband packed in polythene covers inside a black bag concealed in the accused’s two-wheelers.

The team also seized three mobile phones, Rs 5,190 in cash, two Honda Activa vehicles, and one weighing machine.

Siddiqui and Subba have been remanded to judicial custody. Efforts are underway to nab the absconding suppliers.
