
Hyderabad: Two workers were killed and several others injured after a major fire broke out at Dakshin Energy Industries in Pharma City, Parawada, in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalli district on Tuesday, June 23.
Fire triggers panic among workers
According to preliminary information, the blaze erupted inside the industrial unit, triggering panic among workers and prompting a large-scale emergency response. Fire and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched firefighting and rescue operations.
Authorities confirmed that two workers lost their lives in the incident, while several injured persons were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. The condition of some of the injured workers is yet to be ascertained.
Firefighters continued efforts to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby facilities within the industrial zone.
Officials have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The extent of property damage is also being assessed.
