Hyderabad: Television actor Baseer Ali has finally opened up about the rumours around his personal life that followed him after Bigg Boss. In a recent conversation on Telly Chakkar’s podcast Baketi Unlimited, the reality TV star spoke about how the same people who once labelled him a “womaniser” later dragged his sexuality into public discussion.
Baseer said people often take his name and link him with different women from different shows. “They say I have been with multiple girls in different shows”. First they call me a womaniser, and suddenly in Bigg Boss, I am gay?” he said while expressing his frustration.
He further claimed that during the show, some contestant allegedly said behind his back that he had been in a relationship with a man before entering Bigg Boss. Baseer said what hurt him more was not just the rumour, but the fact that it was shown without his side being asked.
According to him, if Bigg Boss chose to air that part, the makers should have also given him a chance to respond during the show itself. “If they showed it, why didn’t they ask my side of the story? I got to know this only after I came out,” he said.
Baseer made it clear that the constant change in labels around him has been irritating. One day he is called a playboy or womaniser, and the next day people question his sexuality, which he feels is unfair and contradictory.
For those who do not know, Baseer Ali rose to fame through reality shows and became one of the most recognised faces from the MTV space. He has been part of shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla and Ace Of Space, and later moved to acting with Kundali Bhagya. His Bigg Boss journey again kept him in the spotlight, but this time, it also brought personal rumours that he now wants to address on his own terms.
