Hyderabad: Hyderabad is set to witness scattered thunderstorms during the late evening hours, according to local weather enthusiast T Balaji.
Meanwhile, heavy rains are expected in Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Suryapet, Jangaon, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Bhadradri – Kothagudem, Hanmakonda, Siddipet, Medak, and Kamareddy from late afternoon to night.
The India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad, has forecasted thunderstorms in all districts of Telangana for the next five days.
Heavy rains in Hyderabad
The previous day, that is on Tuesday, June 9, many areas of Hyderabad witnessed heavy rainfall and severe waterlogging resulted in people and vehicles being stranded.
According to T Balaji, Vinayak Nagar in Neredmet witnessed the heaviest rainfall, at 98.5 mm, followed by Bansilalpet at 87.5 mm and Vittalvadi at 79.8 mm.
Roads were seen inundated with knee-deep water, and trees were uprooted in at least 76 different locations. Two people also died of electrocution after an electrical wire fell in Bandlaguda.
